And "Chega de Saudade" (Enough Longing), by Tom Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes, not only broke paradigms, but also became a landmark in the history of Brazilian music. Besides the light and romantic lyrics, Joao Gilberto's interpretation, in 1958, broke patterns and created what sounded like a perfect combination of Samba and Jazz.
